The goal of the Wisconsin Tech Summit is to bring together major companies and emerging firms in a setting that allows them to meet and explore likely business relationships around technology needs and innovation. Major companies will be able to hear from emerging firms with innovative products or services tied to areas such as “big data,” connected devices and data analytics in sectors ranging from health care to information systems, and from power electronics to telecommunications.

RMF Prototype Process Drives New Product Development

One of the key fundamentals at RMF is our sheet metal prototype process. We offer this to our customers as a service that allows them to move faster in the marketplace in order to test new products. Our CDT (customer development team) and NPI group (new product implementation) are there with you to assist in “design for manufacturability” and quick delivery of sheet metal chassis, panels, enclosures, frames and assemblies.

RACINE — There are jobs available in Racine County, but employers are having issues filling those positions with quality employees.

Higher Expectations for Racine County Youth may have discovered a factor that contributes to the high unemployment rate in the county.

Early Wednesday morning at the Racine Country Club, 2801 Northwestern Ave., local employers and representatives of the Racine Unified School District, University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Gateway Technical College gathered to hear results of a survey Higher Expectations conducted on the local labor force. Tammy Leech from RMF Honored as “Woman of Excellence” in Metal Forming Magazine

Tammy LeechOne of RMF’s finest, Tammy Leech, has been recognized in this month’s issue of Metal Forming Magazine as a “Woman of Excellence” in the metal forming industry.  Tammy is a Technology Project Lead at RMF and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of our “Paperless Shop”, training our self-directed teams in Dynamic Scheduling, and our latest CRM installation. We’ve always known Tammy is a woman of excellence and we’re proud that she is being recognized in the field.

Using Lean Thinking and a standardization methodology we’ve taken a difficult process that was time consuming and unique, and transformed it into a standard practice that can be repeated across all similar equipment quickly.

RMF Hosts MRA Quality Roundtable – Best Practice

On May 13, 2016, RMF hosted the MRA Quality Roundtable Group for their last meeting before taking the summer off.

Xing Phouybanhdyt – Quality Manager, hosted the event with an assist from Tammy Leech – Technology Project Lead, and Mike Campise – IT System Administrator. The main topics presented by the RMF team were our efforts in “Paperless Shop”, self-directed work teams, and the integration of the human side of the business with technology.

It’s always great to host an event with a group like MRA that strives to help peers learn best practices from each other across diverse industries. RMF is a sheet metal fabricator that prides itself as a place for employees to learn and grow. Our environment encourages teamwork, taking chances, being accountable, and learning from mistakes when they happen.

Racine Metal-Fab at WIN Tech Summit

On April 25th, 2016, RMF will be participating as a strategic major supplier to assist new and emerging companies find resources and partners in their efforts to bring their new products to market. RMF will provide a unique blend of prototyping expertise and a depth of production methodology knowledge to assist in finding the best route to bring these new products to life.

The WIN Tech Summit will be held at the GE Healthcare Institute in Waukesha. The day will consist of guest speakers from WIN, GE and Rockwell Automation. The main speaker is David Cagigal, the CIO for the State of Wisconsin. The afternoon will consist of 1on 1 strategy meeting of the emerging companies and industry experts.
